Very Special OMC Meeting January 4th, 2018 6:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse

Now That's a Trike

The next OGRES Motorcycle Club mandatory meeting will be January 4th, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Clubhouse on Fairview.

This is a very special and important meeting:

Dues of $50 per OMC member will be collected.

Since we did not meet in December, a "white elephant" New Years gift exchange will be held.  Each OMC member shall bring one superb "gift" to exchange with another OMC member.

The updated Constitution and By-Laws will be reviewed and ratified.

The upcoming OMC sanctioned Events and OMC Runs will be reviewed and explained.

Door prizes will be drawn for and distributed.

Food and drink will be provided so come to the meeting in a hungry condition.

See you there.  Please notify the President if you are unable to attend.

MIPFMC / OGRES New Zealand

MIPFMC/OGRES New Zealand Vice President (Triumph Storm)

I have been corresponding with Mo Sewell, the President of the MIPFMC (Made It Past Fifty Motorcycle Club) in New Zealand.  They have 8 original members from their genesis in November.  You have to be over 50 years of age to be a member.

They have a bunch of guys who want to join but are in the 45 to 50 age group.  Mo is in favor of their joining with a catch.  This age group is going to wear OGRES (Old Geezers Riding Erratic Speeds) top rockers.  The "originals" will wear an OGRES patch on the front of their cuts and retain MIPFMC on their top rocker.

The whole thing seems confusing to me.....looks like two different Clubs from afar.  I told them we had no problem with the use of OGRES.

There is also an Moto Club "the Ogres"  in Italy and an OgresRC Motorcycle Rally Club in the UK.  I have corresponded with them also.

They are definitely not 1%ers and they do charity runs for local cancer hospices with each biker contributing $20 per ride.  The last cancer run had 350 bikers so that adds up to some nice change.

All members of the MIPFMC/OGRES have to ride American or Euro bikes.  Mo seems like a great guy and their Club sounds pretty cool.
