March 2016 OMC Meeting Report

There was a beautiful post storm sunset across the southern sky as I rode my Glide to the meeting.  It was breath taking and it was all I could do to turn on Fairview towards the Clubhouse instead of continuing to ride south with that sky born vista laid out before me.

The meeting convened at the appointed time at the Clubhouse on Fairview.  Duke brought delicious Taco Bell nirvana for the OGRES to feast upon and every Locos Taco flavor was represented along with other tasty Taco Bell delights.  What a treat!  Thanks to Duke.

In attendance: Bomber, G-Man, Grim, Duke, Big Easy, Smooth and Krome.  Absent: Rip City and Zeus.

A discussion was had to remind all that all meetings and socials are at 6:30 p.m.  No RSVPS are needed for socials.  Instead, if you can't make a non-mandatory social.......Notify G-Man.  If you can't make a mandatory meeting.....Notify Grim.

A discussion was then held about the progress of the creation of a patch and a pin to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the OMC.  Big Easy is working on a pin while Grim is working on a patch.  Both will be created and made available as mandatory items for OMC members for their cuts and other apparel opportunities.

All ride information, along with hotel information for reservations, is on the website.  The spring ride to Challis is extremely filled, along with the rooms at the Hot Springs.

We also talked about accidental discharges (make what you want of that), near death experiences, Key West celebrations, Sturgis and creating a crash rider "pool".  Talk was also had of doing an Iron Butt ride so we will see what the Vice Prez comes up with.

Big Easy with 9mm and Barbecue

Big Easy was the Big Winner of the door prizes walking away with a 9mm, two clips and Hornady Critical Defense 9mm ammo.  He also won the HD barbecue.  Bomber won a custom OGRES poster and 50 rounds of ammo while Duke, G-Man and Smooth won 100 rounds of ammo each.  G-Man also won a Harley-Davidson puzzle for those quiet nights at home.  Much thanks to Krome for sponsoring the door prizes for this meeting.

Even though Rip City was absent, he won a custom Rip City cup full of delicious Taco Bell hot sauce.

Next OMC Social will be on April 7th.  Updates will be put out by the G-Man prior to the Social.

Oh, and Duke, Krome and Grim get extra points for riding to the meeting on their Harleys.
