OGRES Motorcycle Club 4th of July Breakfast Ride Report

The 4th of July Breakfast ride began, as planned, at the Capri Cafe for breakfast. Five OMC members were present along with two guests. We had a nice, relaxed breakfast, with updates on folk's lives and challenges, along with the prerequisite trash talk about missing OMC members and such.

(Disclaimer: Names of landmarks and roads may be what Grim calls them and not necessarily their proper names.)

Shortly we began our ride by heading over towards the lovely Emmett valley. We cruised up Highway 16 and presently passed through Emmett heading west.

We turned south on the road that led us up and over Little Freezeout to the intersection at Highway 44.

We turned west for a short distance quickly turning back south to take the Channel Road along the River and around to the Fireworks Overpass and down to the road to Notus.

We stopped at the service station in Notus, for a quick break, before continuing onward.

RipCity knew of a back road that would take us along the river and over to Highway 95, ultimately to Wilder, where he was born and raised.

RipCity led us along that winding, circuitous road and we ended up exactly where he said we would. Nice call.

Grim took back the lead and we rolled on through Homedale and Marsing ultimately taking the highway on the south side of the river past Given's Hot Springs.

We stopped at Walter's Ferry (Grim knows it is called Dan's Ferry now but he isn't gonna change) for a quick break.

In a bit, we headed up the grade, taking a quick right to allow us to take the back road into Melba. We skirted past the cemetery and Melba finally heading south on Southside Blvd. We rolled unto we turned right on Kuna Road and continued east until Kuna was reached.

The ride ended with a nice repast at the Hudson Bakery in Kuna. The food is so good and the staff are such nice people. Food ranged from sandwiches to "pop tarts". It was a very nice time.

The temperature for the ride was quite nice and the traffic light. Hopefully, this trend continues for the summer.

The next event is the OMC Summer Run.
