OGRES Motorcycle Club 2026 BBQ with Spouse This Coming Friday, September 4th (RSVP)

 

The OGRES MC 2026 BBQ with Spouses is this coming Friday, September 4th, at 6 p.m. 

The social will be held at Bomber's place and is a potluck affair.

Please advise GRIM as soon as possible if you ARE attending or if you ARE NOT attending so plans can be made accordingly.

Potluck assignments will be made as soon as this procedure is accomplished.

Shout out to Bomber and Mrs. B for hosting this event.

OGRES MC 2026 Fall "Orofino" Run Report (Ride of the Magnificent Six)

The 2026 OMC Fall "Orofino" Run began at the appointed place and time. 

OMC members present: Gundy, Rowdy, RipCity and Grim.

Six was a great number for this ride.

OMC members absent: G-Man, Smooth, Ace, Duke, Bomber and Slick.

Two guests were also in attendance.

Special shout out to RipCity for the wonderful photographs that capture and commemorate this great ride.

Retired Old Men Eating Out

We met these gentleman while dining at The Nook in Salmon, Idaho. The four of them get in a crew cab Ford Pickup that has been Roush customized. Two of them are retired law enforcement.

They travel every Thursday to a different locale and explore the restaurants and the sights of the area. 

The gentleman on the top right has Alzheimer's disease. The next day, he does not remember their travel and adventure. After each outing, one of the men writes a detailed report of the happenings, during that outing, and gives it to the affected man's wife so he has a written memory of his life with the quartet. How cool is that.

They had just received the below sticker that day and I was honored to receive it.

Dining At The Edge in Orofino, Idaho

The Edge restaurant in Orofino was resplendent in its new remodel as we met for dinner. We made a new friend in Rebecca, who was our server. She is originally from Portland and lives with her dog, Kai. She is an adventure event racer and was clearly in great shape. The entire dining experience was one of the best ever and Rebecca was a big part of it.

Also, Rowdy and RipCity found the water was especially refreshing in the copper glasses. The restaurant may be missing a couple of them.

OGRES Motorcycle Club 2026 "Orofino" Fall Run Begins This Coming Thursday, August 20

Orofino, Idaho

 The final OGRES Motorcycle Club sanctioned Run of 2026 will be this coming Thursday, Friday and Saturday. To be clear that is August 20, 21 and 22.

The details will not be repeated here as they on readily available on the OMC website or in the OMC members handbook.

See you then...or not.

OGRES MC August 2026 Meeting Report

The August 2026 OGRES MC meeting was held at the Sugarberry Clubhouse on the appointed date and time.

The OMC members present: Duke, G-Man, Bomber, RipCity and Grim. 

The OMC members absent: Smooth, Slick, Ace, Gundy and Rowdy. 

A  DRAFT copy of the schedule of events for 2027 was handed out. There will be two 2 day rides and one 3 day ride next year. 

OMC members were strongly encouraged to come up with three comparatively new OMC Runs for 2027. 

Bomber suggested each member come up with one OMC Run. Great idea.

Hence, each member should come up with at least one OMC Run, either 2 day or 3 day. 

But this activity is NOT mandatory. 

The goal is to have the 3 OMC Runs finalized at the November meeting.

Or we can stick with what is on the books. 

We went to KBs for dinner.

The next event is the Fall Run.
