If the roads are not slick, we will ride our motorcycles to the Egg Factory by the Idaho Center for OGRES brunch on New Years Day.  Brunch will be at noon.  Cages are authorized if weather is too wet or roads are too slick for Harleys and Indian.

Grim's Latest FLTRXS Update - Almost Done !

All buttoned up and the bike sounds super bitchin'.  Just need Tour Pak, Stage II Stereo and Race Tuner installed.

Tour Pak installed......just need spoiler and light bar.  New CVO seat and backrest look very nice and are comfy.

OMC Meeting Moved to January 14th

The mandatory OMC Meeting in January has been moved to Thursday January 14th at 7 pm.

It turns out I will be out of the state working the week of the previously scheduled meeting time.  Can't be helped.

Dues will be collected ($45) and new t shirts distributed.  More to follow soon.

Vance and Hines Oversized 450 Slip-on mufflers.  Check.  Vance and Hines Power Dual head pipes.  Check.  Clutch line.  Check.  Front Brake Line.  Oh crap, it was too long and another had to be re-ordered.  If not for this setback, the Road Glide would be finished.  Oh well, it's all about the anticipation, right?!?!

NEW OMC WEBSITE AND GALLERY

The OGRES Motorcycle Club website has been upgraded and has a whole new look.  Our webmaster (my son) has been working it over.

More Bling

Chrome cans and lowers on the front forks.  I think that does more for the appearance of a Harley than most anything.  Buffed and polished the front fender.

I am doing a bunch of detailing while it is on the lift.  It's nice doing the cleaning at waist height instead of on the ground.  I wonder how much a lift would cost?!?!

You can also see the new floorboards, foot controls, cam cover, handlebar stuff, axle covers, turn signal upgrades and intake.  Waiting for the brake and clutch cables to arrive but until then, we are at a standstill.

Annual OMC Dues for January 7th are $45

I also have some really cool door prizes so it should be fun.  I am hoping Duke will provide the same grub as last time.

Grim's FLTRXS Update

New intake. Check.  Extended floorboards and foot controls.  Check.  New cam cover.  Check.  New handlebars, grips, mirrors and levers.  Check.  Smoked lens and LED running lights/turn signals.  Check.  Curved custom license plate frame.  Check.  Tri-bar smoked lens rear running/brake light.  Check.  CVO solo seat.  Check.

Still to go:  Vance and Hines header and 450 Destroyer exhaust, chopped tour pak,  300 watt amplifier and 3-way speakers, H-D Race Tuner, chrome front fork legs and cans, chrome front axle covers, windshield, dash insert.  And other stuff I can't remember.

Carl got in some unexpected work due to the great weather so I told him to put my bike on hold and make hay while the sun shines.  Cause I'm a nice guy even though Big Easy thinks differently.

However, it will be ready, for sure, in time for the OMC New Years Day ride.  Yippee.

OMC November 2015 Meeting Report

The OMC November meeting was held as planned at the Clubhouse on Fairview.  Present: Duke, G-Man, Big Easy, Rip City, Smooth, Bomber and Grim.  Not present: Zeus and Krome.

Duke had brought Taco Bell and eating the boxes of tacos and burritos was high priority on the agenda.  I go loco for the Doritos tacos.  A few new shooting toys were displayed and Rip City was checked for status on being cocked and locked.

Much trash talk was flying about Krome as he was not present and it is very important to talk trash about those who don't attend the mandatory meetings and instead are in the home state of Slick Willy and Hillary Clinton.  We realized that Krome would have had perfect attendance this year except he did attend one event.....the January meeting.  A special t-shirt is planned for presentation to Krome.

The updates to the by-laws were covered along with discussion about sections that were not changed. It was unclear if this viewing was in fact the first by some of the members.  The most important changes were that members are now to vote on most of the changes in the club membership and such.  Formal copies will be brought to the January meetings.  An appendix was added clearly outlining guidelines for prospects and guests.

The suggestion was made that we start to meet on a monthly rather than a bi-monthly basis.  Odd months would stay the same as in the past but the added meetings in the even months would be purely social with the OMC members meeting for dinner at local restaurants and grills.  This topic will be reopened after the holidays at the January meeting and formalized if all OMC members are on board.  More discussion is needed on this topic.

Information about an Enhanced Plus CCW class was passed on the the group.  A NRA instructor (retired BPD) would put on the 10 hour class for $250 per person.  It would include classroom, range, and physical self defense including how to protect the home.  Grim is to send out a couple of choices for dates for this training.  Enthusiasm seemed low so I can't forecast if this will happen.

Door prizes were drawn for and some of the members left with cool booty.  Funny how Bomber drew his number first.

Grim did not wear the most expensive hat to the meeting but it was the best looking.  Keep the rubber side down and see you next meeting.
