The October 2025 OGRES MC meeting was held at the scheduled time and place. All members were present except for Slick.
The meeting started off with the enjoyment of the Flying Pie pizza and beverages. (Note: Next time there needs to be 4 14" pizzas rather than three. Not enough.)
Grim handed out a rough draft of possible Runs, spouse dinners, rides and meetings for 2026.
Members were asked to review the aforementioned and come to the November 2025 meeting with thoughts, preferences and recommendations.
Grim also handed out new guidelines for creating new OMC sanctioned Runs (Fall, Summer and Fall). There was much discussion about OMC Runs including possibilities and composition.
Members were encouraged to ponder and plan possible Runs especially a Run to replace the Hagerman Summer Run. Members were encouraged to bring possible Run recommendations to the November meeting.
Members were encouraged to look at the time on the road along with the mileage of any given day.
There is a deadline of November 15th for any changes to the current Runs so that timely reservations and publication can occur.
There was also discussion about the management of lunch, fuel and bio breaks during OMC Runs. Grim emphasized the importance of being considerate and aware of the need to balance socializing with time on the bike. Also emphasized was the reality of balancing the aforementioned with the amount of time that results at the destination point for fun and socializing.
Grim will be meeting with the Vice President and Sgt. at Arms, in the next month, about managing, delegating and monitoring the logistics during an OMC Run. A report will be shared at the December OMC meeting.
It was a productive meeting and we parted ways with regret. Well, mostly regret.
